Spring 2011: During Lent and Easter, congregations from across the nation participated in the
“Buck-a-Chick” sale. For one dollar, members purchased and decorated a paper chick for themselves
or in honor of a loved one. The gifts help provide families living in poverty with chicks to provide a
source of food and income.  It was an opportunity for the Pilgrim Sunday School kids to remember
those who don’t have the resources to simply live and to positively influence their lives. Our
congregation raised $300 for the program coupled with the donation of many cans of soup for Merrill’s
tornado relief.
